Leica TCS SP5 Spectral Confocal Microscope

Confocal microscopy has advantages over conventional optical microscopy since the use of a pinhole excludes unfocused light resulting in an increase in axial resolution of the image. The Leica TCS SP5 confocal microscope covers a wide range of imaging requirements with excellent performance, the system provides a full range of scanning speeds even at the highest resolution. It allows three-dimensional, spectral and time acquisitions. It is equipped with 8 lines of laser excitation (458-475 – 488-496 – 514-543 – 594-633 nm) , three simultaneous detection channels; also has an UV lamp for epifluorescence visualization. It has three objectives (10X DRY – NA: 0.30, 20X WATER – NA: 0.70, 63X OIL – NA: 1.4; 100X OIL -NA: 1.44) and motorized stage (Tile Scan & Mark and Find).
